Listening
Duration: 25 minutes (or a bit more on a computer).
Format: Group test with 29 multiple-choice questions.
Objective: To assess the ability to understand spoken French, including familiar words, common expressions, messages, announcements, radio or television broadcasts, and speeches at a normal rate of speech.
Specific Note: Each recording is played only once. The question is asked after listening to the audio document.
Reading
Duration: 45 minutes (with an addition of a few minutes for the computer version).
Format: Group test consisting of 29 multiple-choice questions.
Objective: To measure the ability to understand various types of written texts in French, ranging from familiar names and simple sentences to specialized articles and abstract texts extracted from works
Writing
Duration: 60 minutes.
Format: Group test consisting of 3 writing exercises.
- Writing a message to describe, narrate, and/or explain.
Writing an article, letter, or note to report on an experience. - Writing a comparative text.
Evaluation Criteria: Clear communication, justification of choices, sequence of ideas, expression of an opinion with argumentation, use of appropriate vocabulary, and ability to rephrase.
